5 January 2026

Dubai-based real estate developer Danube Properties has appointed local contractor Beijing Emirates International Construction as the main contractor for its Timez residential project in Dubai.

The contract covers the construction of a 43-storey residential building in Dubai Silicon Oasis.

Construction is expected to begin immediately, with completion scheduled for 2028.

Local architectural firm Al-Majal Engineering Consultant is the project consultant.

Dubai-based firm Atlas Foundations is the enabling contractor.

According to data from regional projects tracker MEED Projects, Danube Properties has a portfolio of 17 active projects valued at approximately $3.3bn.

Danube Properties’ contract award reflects heightened real estate activity in the UAE’s construction market. Schemes worth over $323bn are in the execution or planning stages, according to UK analytics firm GlobalData.

The company forecasts that output from the UAE’s residential construction sector will grow by 3% in real terms between 2026 and 2029, supported by developments in infrastructure, energy and utilities, as well as residential construction projects.
