Kuwait’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation has invited firms to bid by 10 October for the contract to operate Terminal 2 at Kuwait International airport.

Six firms have been invited to bid for the contract. They are Ireland’s DAA International, Germany’s Fraport AG Frankfurt Airport Services Worldwide, India’s GMR Airports, South Korea’s Incheon Airport Corporation, Germany’s Munich Airport International and Turkiye’s Tav Havalimanlari Holding.

The contract covers the operations, management, training, maintenance and development for passenger Terminal 2 and its airside areas.

Turkish contractor Limak has been working on the construction of the passenger terminal since it was awarded an estimated $4.3bn contract in 2016.
