Oman tenders dam package

Oman's Agricultural, Fisheries Wealth & Water Resources Ministry has invited firms to bid for a consultancy services contract to study and design recharge dams in the Al-Dakhiliyah governorate.

The recharge dams are to be located in the Samail and Izki wilayats.

The ministry expects to receive bids for the contract by 23 November.

According to the Oman Tender Board, the following companies have purchased the project's tender documents:

  • ARQ & Partners Consulting Engineers (local)
  • AZD Engineering Consultancy (local)
  • Artelia Muscat Engineering Consultancy (local)
  • Via International Engineering Consultancy (local)
  • Dar al-Handasah (Lebanon)
  • Renardet SA & Partners Consulting Engineers (local/Swiss)
  • Atlas International (US)
  • Al-Manarah Engineering (local)
  • Khatib al-Alami & Partners (Singapore)
  • Libanconsult Consulting Engineers (Lbeanon)
  • Sering International (local/Italy)

An estimated $3bn-worth of water projects are in pre-execution in the sultanate, according to regional projects tracker MEED Projects data.

Dam projects account for 15 per cent of the total, while water pipeline and water desalination projects account for 31 per cent and 18 per cent, respectively.
