Kuwait’s Fawaz Trading & Engineering Services has submitted the lowest bid of $45.2m for a gas condensate project tendered by state-owned upstream operator Kuwait Oil Company (KOC).

The company was one of four contractors to participate in the tender.

The full list of bidders is:

  • Fawaz Trading & Engineering Services (Kuwait): KD13,895,000 ($45.2m)
  • Alghanim International Trading & Contracting (Kuwait): KD13,947,000 ($45.3m)
  • Gulf Spic General Trading & Contracting (Kuwait): KD18,810,000 ($61.1m)
  • China Oil HBP Science & Technology Corporation (China): KD19,983,602 ($65m)

The project scope is focused on the installation of a condensate stabilisation unit at Kuwait’s Booster Station 171 (BS-171).

BS-171 collects associated gas from several nearby gathering centres (GCs) in West Kuwait, including GC-17, GC-27 and GC-28, as well as early production facility 18 (EPF-18).

When it was inaugurated in 2018, BS-171 was the first booster station in the country designed to handle sour associated gas from multiple GCs.

The invitation to bid on the project was issued on 24 August last year and the initial meeting for the project tender was held on 24 September 2026.

The closing date to submit bids for the condensate stabilisation project was 13 January 2026.
