Expo City Dubai has appointed local firm Ginco General Contracting as the main contractor for its Expo Valley residential development.

Expo Valley comprises villas and townhouses located within the Expo Central development and includes about 480 units.

The construction works are ongoing and the project is expected to be completed by 2026.

Dubai-based Al-Naboodah Contracting Company is carrying out the early construction works. French consultancy Egis and its local subsidiary U+A Architects are the project consultants.

Parsons Corporation is the supervision consultant and a joint venture of the US’ Jacobs and UK-based Mace Group is the project management consultant.

The announcement follows the appointment of India’s Shapoorji Pallonji as the main contractor to build the Mangrove Residences development in Expo City.

Mangrove Residences is a multi-building complex located within the Expo Central development, with about 450 units.

In March last year, MEED reported that Expo City Dubai had formally launched its planned residential projects at the Dubai Expo site.
