Adnoc L&S and NMDC to collaborate on offshore projects

10 September 2025

Adnoc Logistics & Services (Adnoc L&S) and Abu Dhabi-owned industrial services conglomerate NMDC Group have signed a three-year agreement to explore collaboration on delivering maritime services for offshore oil and gas projects.

The agreement was signed by Abdulkareem Al-Masabi, CEO of Adnoc L&S, and Yasser Zaghloul, CEO of NMDC Group, at NMDC’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi.

“This agreement strengthens the long-standing partnership between NMDC and Adnoc L&S, establishing an expanded framework for continued collaboration on offshore [engineering, procurement and construction] EPC projects in Abu Dhabi, and includes provisions for marine services and integrated logistics,” the companies said in a statement.

Adnoc L&S is the shipping and maritime logistics arm of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc Group). The parent company recently listed an additional 222 million shares in Adnoc L&S, equating to about 3% of the issued share capital, on Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX).

Following this transaction, from which Adnoc Group earned proceeds of about AED1.16bn ($316m), the free float of Adnoc L&S shares on ADX has increased to 22%.

Previously, Adnoc Group listed 19% of shares in Adnoc L&S on 1 June 2023 through an initial public offering (IPO), from which it earned $769m in proceeds.

NMDC Group, which is also listed on ADX, announced, as part of its second quarter 2025 financial results, an order backlog of $18bn and said it expects to expand its project pipeline, valued at over $27bn.

NMDC Group, which generates the bulk of its revenues from its offshore oil and gas services company NMDC Energy, in June completed the acquisition of a 70% stake in Emdad, a UAE-based oilfield services provider. The acquisition expanded NMDC’s portfolio and strengthened its competitive position by generating recurring revenue in oilfield services.
