Neom launches Leyja tourism development

16 October 2023

Saudi Arabia's Neom has launched Leyja, a new tourism destination that will be located along the coast of the Gulf of Aqaba.

The development is made up of three hotels offering a total of 120 boutique hotel rooms and suites. Each hotel will have 40 keys.

The first property, called Adventure Hotel, will be built in a location that is folded into the cliff top with valley sides. The building structure ascends the mountain wall like a staircase.

The second property is called Oasis Hotel, which will be built in the middle of the wadi's oasis.

Wellness Hotel is the third property at Leyja that will have a reflective facade, mirroring the surrounding valley walls.

Leyja will also have a 73-kilometre-long hiking trail to Trojena.

Leyja is Neom's latest development after The Line, Trojena, Oxagon and Sindalah Island.

In September, Neom and US-based hotel chain Marriott International signed an agreement to establish two hotel properties at Trojena.

Marriott will develop Saudi Arabia’s first W hotel and a JW Marriott hotel at Neom's mountain destination.

The W hotel will be a 236-key property located within Trojena's Lake Village while the JW Marriott will be a 500-key hotel situated within the Bow at Trojena.
