ACC wins Saudi bank headquarters

Saudi Arabian Construction Company, the local operation of UAE-headquartered Arabian Construction Company (ACC), has been awarded the main construction contract for Alinma Bank’s headquarters project in Riyadh.

The 42-storey tower is located close to the King Fahd and King Salman roads and will be 214 metres high. It will serve 1,840 employees and the parking basements will have a built-up area of 85,000 square metres (sq m).

The contract’s scope of work includes the construction of seven basement parking floors. The project is also planned to include a four-storey support building with a Tier 4 data centre. It will have a built-up area of 6,200 sq m and capacity for 250 employees.

The local Saudi Diyar is the consultant and US-headquartered Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) is the designer.

 

The total value of construction contracts awarded in Riyadh this year is expected to be similar to the total recorded for 2022 when there were $6.7bn of contract awards. So far this year, there have been $2.3bn of contract awards.
